Last Year Was Just A Taste...

It has been a long summer without Elena, Stephan & Damon, but cheer up your favorite love triangle will be back on TV Thursday nights this September.

You better get ready because this season there is a new vampire in town — or make that a really really old one. Katharine’s back and she wants to play.

And you thought your ex was crazy!

Kristen Stewart vs. Vogue

You may have noticed that Blake Lively graces the cover of July’s American Vogue. The star of the hit TV show Gossip Girl is the newest blond to hit it big in a long line of teen dream bombshells. But what I bet you didn’t know is that Kristen Stewart was the original choice for the much sought after cover.

Stewarts stars as the lead heroine in the tremendously successful Twilight franchise and has a dark edgy style that goes against the basic principles of teen Hollywood. This brunette with large ominous green eyes and could-care-less attitude has a spirit that rivals only that of a young Angelina Jolie.

Rumour has it Stewart lost the cover (after the photos had been taken) over a dispute with none other than Anna Wintour herself , regarding the disclosure of whether or not she’s really dating her Twilight co-star and worldwide heart throb Robert Pattinson.

On the bright side, despite losing the cover of Vogue (only in America, she has already been on the cover of Teen Vogue and had a feature in Vogue Italia) she can laugh all the way to the UK where she landed next month’s cover of Elle, they were more than happy to have her.

Books

I have started a new book this weekend, The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley. I always find it interesting when a male author writes from the female perspective.

This particular story centers around Flavia de Luce, a mischievous 11 year old girl and aspiring chemist who finds a dead body in her back yard.

A little slow moving, I’m on page 106, but so far so good!

Every girl needs a little black dress!
